I was watching The Final Destination the other day because I’m a person who makes a lot of bad choices in his life and it’s always amused me how persistent and surly “Death” is in those films. Kind of far-fetched, right? Apparently not, if you’re this poor girl Shannon Broome who got hit by a SUV then, while recovering in her room, got hit in the same broken leg by another SUV.

A 15-year-old girl who was in an SUV involved in an Interstate 295 crash in June that killed four students found herself in another scary situation late Monday night.
An SUV plowed through Shannon Broome’s bedroom, where she was sleeping.
According to the girl’s family’s attorney, Rick Block, Broome is still at Shands with non-life-threatening but serious injuries. She fractured her pelvis and her ribs.
“Of all the homes and all the little girls for this to happen to, I feel very strange saying what I’m about to say, which is that she’s lucky, and she’s lucky to be alive,” Block said.
That’s pretty awful. I don’t get what a 15 year-old girl would do in her life to deserve something like this. She must have been one of those guys who tried to have sex with a truck in a previous life. “You don’t touch mah woman,” said Bernie the Florida SUV. SUVs are known for their jealous tendencies.
Also not out of the question: Viral marketing for the recent Pixar announcement of a sequel to the 2006 animated hit Cars. Cars 2: This time…it’s personal.
