Good samaritan carjacked as she went to help an injured person
This story is so crazy because you never hear about scummy crimes happening in Los Angeles. Right? A woman, who also happened to be a nurse’s assistant, saw a man injured in a serious car wreck. So she tried to do the right thing and help her out. Of course, karma is a bit of a jerk, so she got her car stolen while trying to take care of the man. And then the guy died. So she chased after the car thief and ended up injured. Bad times.
According to a report out of CBS in Los Angeles, Adrienne Braxton saw a gruesome car crash. She rushed to the man’s aid (no one else did) and checked him out. He had no pulse.
By the time she looked up, someone was making off with her car. Braxton ran after the car, grabbing on to try to stop the woman from driving away. Then she got dragged and run over by one of the back tires, knocking her unconscious, spraining her ankle, and breaking three ribs in the process.
Fortunately, Braxton got the car, which was given to her by her recently deceased father, back after police arrested the carjacker.
So…you still think you’re having an undeserved crappy day? It’s going to take at least a stabbing to a minor organ while helping an autistic Girl Scout sell enough cookies for a trip to Disneyworld to top this one.
