Let that be a lesson to all of you: If you go out of your way to help others, they’re bound to get eaten by a hawk. Nope, it doesn’t apply just to mice. It applies to schoolchildren, the elderly and the infirmed, anyone. Hawks exist just to ruin feel good moments. I’m surprised a hawk didn’t take that puppy who walked down the stairs away too.
