History of Comedy Remix by Mike Relm
Mike Relm is a master of remixes. Combine that with my love of standup comedy and you have a video that I’m bound to play at least twenty times in the next twenty hours. It’s the History of Comedy Remix.
This isn’t Relm’s best work, but cohesively combining dozens of famous comedians is hardly possible. Even if it’s not your new favorite video, it’s a great reminder of some amazing comedians that you might have forgotten. When was the last time you watched stand up from most of these people?
I believe this is the full list. Who else do you think should have been included? We can start with Katie Nolan. George Carlin, Bill Cosby, Rodney Dangerfield, Norm Macdonald, Don Rickles, Lenny Bruce, Woody Allen, Roseanne Barr, Andy Kaufman, Richard Pryor, Steve Martin, Joan Rivers, Steven Wright, Eddie Murphy, Andrew Dice Clay, Sam Kinison, Bobcat Goldthwait, Jerry Seinfeld, Bill Hicks, Ellen Degeneres, Mitch Hedberg, Dave Chappelle, Patton Oswalt, Jim Gaffigan, Chris Rock, Zach Galifianakis, and Louis C.K.
Speaking of forgotten comedians and remixes, this seems like the ideal time to present my favorite one. DJ Steve Porter put together this glorious song called “I Love Lesbians” for Mad TV all-star Michael McDonald. It never got the run it deserved, so you’re welcome.
