Kids can really get a lot from bananas, according to this Chiquita banana ad

So this isn’t NSFW by any stretch of the imagination, but you still may want to avoid opening it in a public place or at your day job as a school teacher. Here’s an old print ad for Chiquita Bananas with a couple of adorable kids. The little girl’s love of bananas…simply infectious.

You may look at this ad and see something perverse. In which case, can’t a boy just want to help cure scurvy, one deep-throating female peer at a time?

That said, between this and the boozing whore-chasing of “Mad Men,” is there any doubt that the greatest job in the history of mankind was being an advertising man in the 50s and 60s? You could pretty much just throw out all the d-ck jokes and double entendres you wanted in an ad and the companies would go, “NOW THAT IS WHAT I HIRED YOU FOR!” before they smoke a cigar and get drunk with you. Try shoving a banana in a little girl’s face now and see where that gets you. Seriously, try it on the street. No, it’s cool, just say “I saw how to do it on a Web site.” Parents will totally be cool with it.
