Krispy Kreme Cheeseburgers so good that diabetic people love them
That headline may read like an ad but there’s something too good about this story from My FOX DC which covers the rise of the Krispy Kreme Cheeseburger, a combo bacon-cheeseburger and Krispy Kreme donuts — also known as a Luther Burger for Luther Vandross — and its growth across the country.
According to My FOX DC:
It’s a burger with cheese and bacon sandwiched between a Krispy Kreme doughnut – the “Krispy Kreme Cheeseburger.”
Some consider this the world’s unhealthiest snack, but it is making the rounds and showing up at state fairs and ball paks across the country.
Despite its 10 grams of sugar, diabetic diner Floyd Schuetz couldn’t pass one up at a recent minor league baseball game near St. Louis.
“Oh, I’ll have another one of these,” he said to CBS News .
I’ve always thought that the deliciousness of any food could be determined via the correlation between the food and people’s willingness to lose a toe for it. So thank you, Floyd Schuetz, for teaching me the value of the Luther Burger/Krispy Kreme Cheeseburger. And thank you for also teaching me that Guyism’s hot new food product, The Heroin-Infused Hot Dog, will really capture the marketplace’s imagination. It’s like Nathan’s with a little bit of Kurt Cobain thrown in.
