Man arrested after bragging to police about $2000 of weed in his car

A Florida man was pulled over this past weekend for some irresponsible driving habits. He might have gotten away with a ticket or a warning. Only he blurted out to cops “I got $2,000 worth of weed in the truck!” excitedly. That’ll usually end up getting you put in jail.

A man pulled over for failing to maintain a single lane and for speeding was arrested after telling police he had $2,000 worth of “weed” in his trunk.

The 25-year-old Crestview man was stopped Jan. 22 after a Crestview Police Department officer noticed him speeding on James Lee Blvd. The driver, Jason Miles, appeared nervous and there was a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the truck, the officer noted.

When the officer asked him if there was anything illegal in the truck, Miles said, “I got $2,000 worth of weed in the truck!”

Since it was such a large amount of marijuana, Miles got charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. But Jason Miles must also be a lawyer or some sort of legal savant. After being read his rights, he told the officer that he “only sold weed part time on the weekends” and that the weed in the trunk was his. He articulately conveyed this to the cop by telling him, “Man, you don’t know how much weed I smoke.”

This may not be the smartest crime to ever take place. But I think we should salute Jason Miles today. If nothing else, he’s taking his rightful place as America’s Most Honest Drug Dealer. Or he was just so stoned that he thought all of this was somehow a good idea. Either way, Jason Miles’ Forthright Marijuana Sales Company is one that I’d be more than willing to support.
