Man threatens to kill 9-year-old daughter unless she drinks alcohol

In our continued quest to point out things you should never do as a parent, here’s one that may not seem so obvious. When you’re drunk off your ass, it’s probably not a good idea to force your 9-year-old daughter to get drunk too by threatening her with murder. It’s so counter-intuitive, I know.

Police say the child’s mother called them after, around 11PM, she received a call from her daughter. The daughter was crying and wanted to leave her father’s place. When police got there, they found the daughter visibly intoxicated.

Richmond County police say the daughter had a blood-alcohol content level of 0.165. Her father also registered a 0.23, which is good because kids need something to look up to in their parents.

Here’s a good rule of thumb: Nothing good has EVER come from throwing back shots or slamming beers with a 9-year-old. Plus, as this story shows, they’re total lightweights. I mean come on, kid. You act like you’re supposed to be having innocent fun, playing with Barbies and watching Miley Cyrus’s latest comedic mishap. That’s for 8-year-old’s. As soon as you can do long division with a remainder, you drink Jack Daniels like your old man. This is Georgia, dammit! Yeehaw! *shoots gun, harasses an ethnic minority*
