An 18-year-old getting arrested for public intoxication outside a major state university is hardly news. But when it’s a Miss Arkansas Teen USA, Megan Burgess, and the mugshot includes her crying, well, we’ll cover it.

Megan Burgess, Miss Arkansas Teen USA 2010, side by side comparison

Last year, Megan Burgess was the Miss Arkansas Teen USA selection. This year, she’s handed off her crown and sash to Mary-Kate Hartley and now has found herself arrested for public intoxication.

Burgess, 19, was arrested by University of Arkansas police over the weekend and brought in on charges of public intoxication.

According to a local news station, Burgess’s Facebook pages were immediately pulled offline after the incident.

Other than the obvious fun of comparing pageant-time Burgess with “Oh shit this is going to be a problem” 4:30 AM Burgess, pictured above, the big winner here is the University of Arkansas. How many other colleges can claim that they have former state beauty pageant winners drunkenly traipsing around outside their school sexily on the verge of tears? I can’t imagine there’d be many. Way better than the school’s previous 2011 claim to fame of Allstate Sugar Bowl: Participant.
