Residents of Michigan are being terrorized by bank robberies. And the criminal fits an unlikely but very specific description…he has really bad teeth and horrific smelling breath. They’re calling him The Bad Breath Bandit, as though he’s a Batman villain. England, you’re on notice.
Ferndale police are looking for a bank robber they say hit the same Charter One branch on Woodward twice within two months — and who has bad breath.
The bank was robbed Oct. 7 and again Wednesday, and during both robberies, the bank tellers “remember this individual as having very offensive breath and real yellow teeth,” Ferndale police Lt. William Wilson said.
During the robberies, “the crook implied having a gun, but no weapon was seen,” Wilson said.
Police gave this description: a short and thin man with short black hair, “very crooked yellow teeth and bad breath.” The police description also said: “The whites of his eyes are yellow. He looks and smells dirty. He was wearing a black hooded Carhartt type of jacket.”
