Shockingly, Detroit strip club employing 14 year-old not a good place
Chris Spags A Detroit area strip club named All Stars is under fire for employing a girl who was only 14 years-old as a dancer for weeks, if not months, leading to the arrest and arraignment of the club’s manager. It may surprise you to learn this place has many other issues.
According to a report from the Associated Press:
Andrew Hutson was arrested Wednesday night at the club on Eight Mile Road. The girl, whose name was not released because of her age, is believed to have danced at the club several nights each week, making about $350 per night, Police Chief Warren Evans said at a news conference across the street from the establishment.
“It is clear that she danced there for a significant amount of time. It’s clear, at least to us, that the club knew or should have known that she shouldn’t be there,” Evans said.
The girl’s mother pulled her daughter from the club one night last week after learning she was working there. Employees of the club brought the girl out to a lobby area near the door, said her mother, whose name was withheld to protect her daughter’s identity.
Over the past six years, there have been 11 nonfatal shootings and three fatal shootings “related to this club,” Evans said. Violations also have been found in each of the last 15 Vice Squad inspections.
I guess you can’t blame the girl too much. When I was 14, I worked with underprivileged kids for a couple hundred dollars a week. This girl was making almost $400 a night. The biggest difference I can tell between our lives is that she just spent a lot more time grinding upon the clients’ genitals. Obviously, I’m not saying you should follow that path at all your jobs as a teenager, but it might be worth a shot.
The cops are right though. There’s no way you can’t tell that a 14 year-old girl was working at your strip club. Even if she looks much older, the fact that she requests a juicebox when she gets off the stage or demands to get the night off for a Justin Bieber concert were probably dead giveaways.
