Smugglers attempt real life “Snakes on a Plane” reenactment
Two men were busted for smuggling over 40 exotic snakes illegally in their luggage on a flight from Jakarta to Dubai, proving that crimes that bear a resemblance to Samuel L. Jackson movies are about as successful as the movies themselves.

'Hmm, judging by the markings, it appears that this is some sort of legless reptile indigenous to shitty, overhyped movies.'
Police say Yaqub Ebrahim and Ali Hasan were trying to smuggle the snakes to the United Arab Emirates where they had been promised a huge amount of money from collectors of exotic beasts.
Fortunately for the staffers on hand, the snakes were sedated and non-poisonous (though the family of pythons is known for its propensity to kill prey with a vicious squeeze instead of the deadly toxins).
The men face up to seven years in prison if found guilty.
I think if you’re going attempt to smuggle snakes illegally to foreign territory and went through all the effort of rounding them up and sedating them, you might want to find a better way for their actual transport than “Just put them in the suitcase, no one will notice.” Personally, I’d shove them in a fake can of nuts. People have been falling for that one for years.
