The Jersey Shore cast is officially in on the joke

I’ve always contended that the vast majority reality TV stars are far more in on the joke that is their careers/lives than they’ve led on. And in a credit to most of the kids on MTV’s Jersey Shore, they seem to be well aware of their place in both society and the limited bubble of fame. Further proof can be found in this hilarious video from Funny or Die.

Poor The Situation. While I’m really starting to think the show, in spite of its wonderful qualities, and the cast members are getting really overexposed (seriously, Leno, The Tonight Show, and Kimmel in one week?), you can’t blame them for understanding that they need to do what they can now before they’re shunted to the back of the reality TV bread line. At least they’re not taking themselves too seriously and having some fun with it. Good for them.

If nothing else, I’m going to be very disappointed if we don’t see a spinoff with The Situation. A dating show with his sexy rock hard stomach winning personality presence would certainly be a solid way to kill an hour a week.

What'd you think of this?
