The Justin Bieber/Benjamin Netanyahu feud the world has waited for
It’s like Biggie and Tupac all over again: Justin Bieber is making a trip to Israel for a concert Thursday night. But his scheduled meeting with Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu has been submarined after Bieber’s reps requested that child victims of Gaza rockets not be in attendance.

The children Netanyahu’s team had booked for the meeting were victims of a Palestine rocket attack on their school bus near the Gaza Strip.
But, according to Israeli newspaper Ha’aretz, Bieber’s reps declined to meet the injured children, leading to Netanyahu to cancel the meeting all together.
I did public relations in my previous life so, on some level, I get the idea that Bieber’s reps don’t want him to be a part of something as politically divisive as the neverending wars in the Middle East; Michael Jordan famously once said, regarding why he abstains from political involvement, that “Republicans buy shoes, too.” But there’s a bit of a difference between a desire to avoid politically divisive career moves and not wanting to bring joy to some kids who just got blasted like they were in a particularly heated game of “Call of Duty”.
Plus, Bieber Fever or not, I sincerely doubt the PLOs are blaring “Baby” or lining up for his album. If there’s any audience you could not worry about alienating, lil guy, I’d say it’s them.
