The least important news story ever written
Chris Spags Deadspin contributing editor Drew Magary just tweeted this story from News 4 in Jacksonville and it’s hard to argue with his contention that it’s “the least significant news story ever posted”.
Could you imagine the disappointment in being a young reporter and getting this story on assignment? All these big dreams of covering movers and shakes and important policy decisions. And instead, you get assigned to talk to some old bitty who painstakingly tells you every detail of her story about getting a card intended to go to Iowa, yet there it was in her hands in Florida. My stars. Surprised Walter Cronkite didn’t dig himself up and unretire to cover this one himself.
