What were you doing as a three-year-old? Probably something far less awesome than this British kid, who came across a pendant worth $4 million.

pendant Three year old kid finds pendant worth $4M Three-year-old James Hyatt was playing with his new metal detector with his father. When the detector went off for the first time in a field, the father-son duo dug the item up.

As they were digging, the father claims they saw a “flash of gold.”

It turned out to be a 500-year-old gold pendant that experts claim could fetch around $4 million at auction.

The pendant weighs about a third of an ounce, is 73 percent gold, and has an image of the Virgin Mary on it.

If you’re like me, you probably feel like a real dick for thinking all those kids were idiots for playing with those metal detectors on the beach when you were growing up. Not because they were onto something that you weren’t, but because you didn’t punch them in the face and steal their findings just to be safe. Sure, it may have just been bottle caps and a drunken Guidette’s lost costume jewelry, but at least you wouldn’t have risked losing out something accidentally lost by the Shrine of the Silver Monkey.
