Two women have bloody bar fight over who wore silver dress better

Two blondes walk into a bar. They happen to have worn the same dress. So they end up fighting to the point of drawing blood. Not much of a punchline, but it actually happened in New Zealand.

What a woman in a silver dress might look like when not covered in her own blood

Police say 22-year-old Victoria Clapham went out to a bar wearing a silver dress that she was given by a male friend. Unfortunately, it happened that she wasn’t the first one to have been given that dress by the guy, Matthew Vibert.

A previous owner of the dress and former girlfriend of Vibert, 20-year-old Bridget Masters, ran into Clapham in the bathroom of the bar. The two exchanged words and Masters claims that Clapham she said the dress looked better on her anyway.

Masters then threw a drink at Clapham. Clapham responded by throwing her vodka at Masters. Apparently, that was the line, as Masters then broke a glass on Clapham’s head.

The glass busted Clapham open, leaving her covered in her own blood (and, presumably, ironically ruining the dress they were fighting over).

Clapham also told the court that she did not know Masters would be at the bar that night, but that “[Vibert] may have known.” Shaaaaady.

I think, if I were this Vibert dude, I’d be feeling pretty good about myself. Sure, it was partially just about the dress and women’s inherent competition. But two chicks fighting over a dress you scummily gave to both of them, to the point where blood is shed? That’s pretty hot. It’s like what those Miller Lite catfight commercials would be like if they were directed by Michael Bay.
