In something of a positive step for the one gay person in Utah, Utah senator Chris Buttars has said he might support a bill giving gay people equal rights for jobs and non-marriage related things. His word phrasing of not wanting gays “stuffing it down [his] throat all the time and certainly in [his] kid’s face” leaves something to be desired.

Skip to 1:12 for the goodness:

That is so true. Let’s just test out a few gay rights but don’t go crazy, Utah. I mean if they start getting married and visiting each other in the hospital, the quality of life of other people in Utah will greatly suffer. The citizens of the state will be in their own houses with their families but then all of a sudden they’ll be overcome by the sensation that somewhere, perhaps not too far away, two men are sitting in a similar situation but with the looming danger of butt sex. THE HORROR! How can things that I don’t like that make people happy and have nothing to do with me possibly happen outside of my home without my knowledge? I won’t be able to stop thinking about it! Then if I clean my genitals in the shower and accidentally think about it, I’d be gay too! IT’S SO SEXY TERRIFYING.

What'd you think of this?
