Places like Cirque De Solei employ some of the most amazing acrobats in the world. But I always wondered what happens when they screwed up. They always look so uniform and well-trained that it’s hard to imagine a professional acrobat actually falling and hurting themselves. Well, this is what happens when it goes wrong.
Acrobatics seems to be an odd career choice because no matter how good you are at jumping on trampolines, swinging on the trapeze and balancing on your hands, at some point you fall. And probably hard. Whether it be at practice or in front of a room full of paying customers, you have to realize that at some point, even with all the training and hours of prep work you are going to have to eat it once and awhile. Could have been worse, but it’s easy for you to say that with a fully intact ribcage.
