C.G.P. Grey is excellent at distilling information into smaller bites. And in this clip, Grey takes you through the history of Santa Claus to help you understand his complete history in under five minutes. It’s an interesting watch.

I like the way that Grey doesn’t pull any punches on Santa Claus and the associated idiocy around him. Finland wins the “Santa is illogical so let’s retcon his story” competition. Making up an entire place just to go along with the lie that Santa is real? Damned impressive, Finland. I’ll try to be more mindful of your clever trickery in the future.
