VIDEO: April Atkins is the world’s strongest girl teen…from the 1950s
Chris Spags In my neverending quest for fitness information and/or creepy videos of teenage girls, I came across this clip. In it is April Atkins, a 79-pound seventh grader working out in Venice Beach, California in 1954. And, in this video, the 12-year-old is lifting about 715 pounds.
I can find literally no other information about April Atkins other than this video and library listings of the video so I can only presume that she spontaneously combusted due to the fact that girls that age are supposed to do things like play with dolls and learn how to bake and have me yell things at them from my van. Truly the best times of both our lives.
