VIDEO: Detroit woman plans to celebrate blackout ending with Kool-Aid
Chris Spags Some news stations might choose to report on a blackout ending with a degree of seriousness, perhaps even information about why it happened. But not Fox affiliate WJBK in Detroit. They just say, “Hey, can we get the most impoverished, hood black woman we can find and make her say nonsense?” Fox Detroit, you’re our generation’s Woodward and Bernstein.
Good for that woman. She’s true to who she is. She may look like a character in a mid-1950s Disney cartoon designed to make white people laugh and undercut the civil rights movement, but she wants her goddamn Kool-Aid and no one is going to tell her otherwise. I mean if I got my electricity back after five days, I’d be catching up on work emails, perhaps watching a good movie or even charging up my iPad to read some books on my Kindle app. Nope, not this lady. She’ll be right back where she was on that porch, smiling that smile hard-earned by years of Kool-Aid drinking.
Fuck that reporter, though. “YOU SAID HALLELUJAH!” Really, white reporter guy? It’s people like you who made Dave Chappelle run away.
