VIDEO: French ginger ale commercials are serious business
Chris Spags This French commercial for Schweppes ginger ale featuring Uma Thurman is a little risqué, mostly because it involves a whole lot of puns about the ginger ale company’s name and sex. Somewhere, the Fanta girls are looking on ashamed for their art.
Personally, if I were a professional interviewer and some celebrity went on a minute long rant about their lust for ginger ale, I’d be annoyed. I don’t think there are many women who buy magazines at the grocery store because their favorite female celebrity doesn’t like regular sodas because they make her too gassy.
On the down side, I don’t know how I’d feel if I were Uma Thurman and the sexiest I’ve looked in a decade and a half is in a commercial selling bottled bubbly cat piss. Not exactly the typical stop for a cougar renaissance.
