VIDEO: Guy hitchhikes 5000 miles across the country in stop-motion video
Chris Spags A guy named Benjamin Oliver Jenks fancies himself a traveling expert so, to celebrate his achievements in the field, he shot thousands of photos of himself hitchhiking from Los Angeles to Maine. This stop-motion video titled “I Love People” delightfully chronicles his journey.
According to Jenks, he shot 3000 photos of 930 people (including six naked girls – see if you can find them) to make the video.
Entertaining and it dispels a lot of the myths people have about hitchhiking. Specifically, I didn’t see a photo sneaked in there in which Jenks gets shanked by a cranked out trucker or is forced to jack it in the front cab of a pick-up before being beaten up and left for dead like Dirk Diggler in Boogie Nights. Really a big victory for humanity all around.
