VIDEO: IHOP fight in Orangeburg, SC introduces us all to “I ride the ride”

Context, schmontext. This fight going on in an IHOP in South Carolina involves a large black woman yelling “I RIDE THE RIDE”, a fistfight breaking out, and the vigorous swinging of a pimp cane. It’s a stronger film than most of this year’s Academy Award nominees.

I can’t act like I’m so surprised with what’s going on in this video. Have you ever been in an IHOP late at night? It’s like being in a place somewhere between a dark alley in “Batman” and the closing scene of “Do the Right Thing”. Point being, I don’t think the NAACP will be holding their next awards ceremony there, no matter how groundbreaking this woman’s research in riding the ride may be.
