VIDEO: Iowa local news report hijacked by renegade weather graphics
Chris Spags Graphics on TV broadcasts have slowly been infiltrating more and more of the screen. And now, the graphics are developing a mind of their own, as seen on this clip from a newscast on Iowa’s KIDK CBS affiliate
Running the graphics for a telecast like that always seemed like one of those things that tend to go seamlessly but are secretly absurdly difficult. And this telecast definitely showed that.
On the plus side, anything that makes a truck jackknifing and pedestrians getting run down by a runaway Toyota seem like a lighthearted news story seems like it deserves our kudos. Usually only Benny Hill music can elicit that response.
