VIDEO: Man eats pasta on NYC subway with a rat on his lap
Chris Spags As a lifelong resident of New York City, it becomes easier to come to grips with the fact that certain things just don’t make sense. For example: Here’s a video of a guy eating pasta on an NYC subway with a rat comfortably hanging out on his lap while the guy rambles away.
When I was first sent this video, I assumed it’d be about some guy taking a subway rat under his wing as an apprentice, cooling his ratlike tendencies with delicious pasta like a real life Rat King from “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”. But now I just see that it’s a lunatic casually eating pasta with his pet rat. Imagine my disappointment.
At the same time, I feel like a real asshole watching this guy. This guy has a rat casually hanging out on the train, looking as adorable as a rat is capable of, maintaining its calm while the dude chokes down some mediocre spaghetti. Meanwhile I’m here with a dog, man’s best friend, who appears one bad mood away from eating a small child as I go, “Well, she’s a puppy, she’ll grow out of it.” Feelsbadman.jpg.
