VIDEO: Ox in a clothing store is the new “bull in a china shop”
Chris Spags The old idiom about someone reckless being like a “bull in a china shop” has always seemed silly to me; when would a bull be in a china shop and why do we assume they wouldn’t just kick back with some tea? Well, now we know how an ox would react in a clothing store. Spoiler alert: He stands around before ultimately smashing through a glass door like the Kool-Aid Man.
I feel pretty bad for the ox. Dude was just sitting there confused looking out the window until everyone had to make this into a big deal. Then he did the perfectly ox-logical thing of smashing through the door to escape (Oxen are not good at strategic escapes. Or fjording a river). I mean I guess you can’t have an ox running through a Latin American town, but I feel like those guys were so enthusiastic about the opportunity to lasso an ox in public to save humanity like they were being casted for a reboot of “Jumanji”.
You have my emotional support, Mr. Ox. I’ll be sure to make a big huff and growl, then shove a guy on a low-powered motorcycle to the ground when he’s not expecting it in your honor.
