VIDEO: “Pornography, A Winnable War” will enrapture you

Chris Spags Founder and Editor

This video created by Focus on the Family (and being played at this year’s Found Footage Festival) is supposed to galvanize you against the horrors of pornography. But seeing all of the reaction shots from the crowd, well, it’s hard to take their cause too seriously.

I don’t know how it should make me feel that so many people there, with their stylish oversized glasses and wispy mustaches, remind me of the type of sketch of a pedophile you’d see on “America’s Most Wanted.” When you’re THAT adamant against pornography, an industry which for all intents and purposes has no impact on your life if you’re not watching it yourself, clearly you have something to hide. I’d bet the schedule of events for this Focus on the Family event looked like:

8:40 AM Breakfast
10:00 AM Group prayer
10:30 AM Hiding Your Shame: What the Lord Doesn’t Know Won’t Hurt You
12:00 PM The War Against Pornography
1:00 PM Lunch
2:00 PM Why No One Will Miss That Boy Scout
4:00 PM Group prayer

I’m onto you, zealots.
