When reporting on a fire for a premium news outlet like Time Warner Cable, you’d think a reporter would be prepared for any situation. Not the case with this young female reporter, Suzi Theodory, as she gets drenched by a helicopter dropping water onto a nearby forest fire, only to break out in laughter.

suzi theodory 135x95 VIDEO: Reporter doused by helicopter while reporting on nearby fireAs the earth is being scorched beneath you, there’s no better time to break from reporting on the news to giggle uncontrollably like a group of sorority girls who had their first taste of Patron and have now found themselves in their first wet t-shirt contest.

Still, even though it makes the most sense in terms of area coverage, the idea of just dumping water out of helicopters just seems silly to me. It feels like something that a child came up with while playing out a rescue scene with his action figures. “How about if we get a really big helimacopter and then it drops water alllll overrrr the fire and the water is like SPLOOOOOSH like when we went to the log flume ride and I got all wet and I was kind of scared but then I was like ‘That was aweeeeeeesome let’s do it again!’” “Good work, Fire Commissioner Baby, you’ve done it again!”

What'd you think of this?
