VIDEO: “Scarface” performed as a school play
This video is blowing up across the Internet and, as a curator of things to waste your time, it’s my job to alert you to it. This video ALLEGEDLY is of a grade school play in Illinois. The kids are performing an adaptation of the classic cocaine/murder orgy that is “Scarface.” People are calling it an example of the downfall of society but, counterpoint, I like the stuffed tiger. You decide!
See? People said I was crazy or “immoral,” but I knew that I was selling cocaine to fourth graders for a reason.
People are seriously outraged that there might be a school performing a play based on “Scarface” but are the themes of the film really that much worse than the other stuff kids do plays about? We did “A Christmas Carol” when I was in third grade but you don’t see me helping sick kids or learning important life lessons. In fact, I regularly kick the crutches out of kids with polio who remind me of Tiny Tim just to illustrate how impressionable I’m not. It’s all within your control, kids.
