VIDEO: Surfers ignore years of human-shark relations, save baby great white
Chris Spags Look, I get it…surfers are all “one with the world” because they ride rising waves of water, but this video of a group of surfers saving a baby great white after it got hooked by a fisherman in Venice Beach is just dumb. Check it out.
Keep in mind that the seven-foot long monster they pulled out of the ocean is a BABY. I’m not a fisherman and I don’t necessarily support mindlessly ripping the faces of innocent sea creatures, but I’d probably let the shark near the shore of a public beach die. Do you think that when the shark is an adult, it’s going to joyfully remember the group of humans who kept it from dying? Or that it’s going to remember that some dude dressed like someone on the front of a fishsticks box ripped off a chunk of his face and left him deformed? I’m voting the latter. If anything, they just made a shark supervillain.
