VIDEO: The dark “Archie” comics movie trailer you’ve been clamoring for

The hot Hollywood trend is to remake everything into a darker grittier version than the original incarnation so it’s not hard to believe that this fan-made “Archie” trailer is out of the realm of possibility. In this video, the Riverdale crew becomes live-action and things get even more real than you could possibly imagine.

That was like sensory overload. Abortions, alley rape, Jughead’s lust for his fellow teenage boys, and of course the all-too-necessary scene with Betty and Veronica making out. And now we know that Jughead’s garish fashion choices had a perfectly logical reason. Because, honestly, what average high school kid always wears a crown otherwise? Now we know it was pure well-appointed homosexual style. Good work, Jugs.
