VIDEO: Washington D.C. hip-hop award show ends in a massive brawl

Washington D.C. has been working hard on getting credibility up in the hip-hop community to that of the level of a New York, Los Angeles, or Atlanta. But what it might lack in talents, it more than make up for in ability to fight at an award show, as evidenced in this video from this past Saturday’s DMV Awards Show.

The fight began when two unnamed “crews” aired out their “beef”. Witnesses on site estimated about 20 to 60 people were involved in the fight but, fortunately, no shots were fired and only five or six people were injured.

Personally, I’m just shocked to hear about violence breaking out at a hip hop event. This almost never happens. They’re usually such peaceful people, like a cadre of John Lennons clad in Gucci sunglasses and flat brimmed hats who just want their art form of rhyming “Mercedes” with “ladies” and “bitches” with “snitches” to lift society to never-before-imagined heights. Modern day sonnet creators, one and all.
