VIDEO: Woman makes a “money tree” and films people’s reactions

We’ve all heard the expression “Money doesn’t grow on trees.” One woman named Amy Krouse Rosenthal took that literally and stapled money to a tree, then filmed what happened when passersby saw it. It’s quite ridiculous and entertaining.

This is good because I love my sociological experiments to be set to hipster music. Nothing gets me more revved up to study the human condition than a song that would be well-suited to a moment captured on film of Michael Cera’s self-discovery.

In related news, good luck if you’re the boyfriend of that chick in heels who steals all the money. She now thinks money grows on trees and will expect nothing but the best. Your ability to get a new job at Blockbuster won’t hold water now.
