VIDEO: Warrior Dash seems pretty intense

The Warrior Dash is a lot like a regular person version of the show “Ninja Warrior”. Crawling through mud, leaping over fire, and getting hammered are all parts of the event that’s touring the nation. The video from this weekend’s Dallas/Fort Worth event seems particularly absurd.
That seems pretty intense and possibly as grueling as the marathons people over 25 love to put themselves through for no particular reason other than to spend six months saying, “Yeah, really training hard for that marathon I’m going to do.”
With that in mind, this does seem kind of silly to do. I get that life is all about the experience and all those wonderful things. At the same time though, I’d really rather not spend my relaxing Saturday crawling through mud while some dude in a Ninja Turtles shirt climbing a pole in front of me yells, “COME ON BRO YOU’VE GOT TO KEEP IT MOVING IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE!” Tom Hanks got more inspirational pep talks from his bosses in “Philadelphia” than that.
