Western Kentucky University’s students are very Internet savvy

Here’s an important life lesson that I really hope you’ve learned by now: If someone is emailing you and asking for the information to an account of yours, the odds are 99% that the email is from an illegitimate source. Unfortunately, no one sat down the ladies and gentlemen of Western Kentucky University to teach them this, leading to this email exchange from a vice president of Internet Technology.

So, if you want people to send you something, it actually works to send people an email saying “Don’t send me this”? That would explain a lot. Reverse psychology is pretty effective. Which is why “No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service” are so ineffective. I get what you’re trying to do, restaurant. If you wanted to see the goods, all you had to do was ask.

Anyway, hopefully the good people of Western Kentucky University learned an important lesson. That lesson? Send your passwords to Dr. Bob Owen. He loves them. He prints them out, puts make-up on them, and has little tea parties. Then he seduces them and makes sweet sweet love to (all over?) them. I’m onto your tricks, Owen.

[Thanks James for the tip!]
