Woman arrested after coercing police officer to accidentally Taser himself
Crime stories that sound like a scene from “Police Academy 8: Back on the Force” are always amusing. That happens to be the case in this story about a Chicago woman who was arrested after making a police officer accidentally tase himself.
Irene Bramwell was charged with resisting arrest and causing a police officer to Taser himself by mistake over the weekend.
The 56-year-old was found after police responded to a call regarding a break-in at a building.
Upon finding Bramwell in the basement of the building, police were greeted by the woman throwing a wooden chair at the officers, hitting one of the cops in his arm.
Bramwell was then tased by one of the officers, but she continued to flail wildly in an attempt to get away from officers. One of the cops shot off his taser again, only to get hit by Bramwell’s flailing arms and tase himself accidentally.
If you’re a cop and find yourself unable to fend off a 56-year-old woman whose idea of a good time is breaking into a building and hiding out into a basement without tasing yourself, you should probably be fired immediately. I could literally beat up armies of 56-year-old women. Were it socially acceptable, I would line up dozens of them and fight them all to the death. I envision it as a reality show that combines the best aspects of “Gladiator” and the “Golden Girls.” The public demands it.
