Woman commits the perfect crime, steals $92 from a Girl Scout
A crime that involves robbing someone weaker than you, getting a nominal amount, and possibly freeTagalongs? Sounds like this Palm Beach robbery of a seven-year-old Girl Scout is the perfect crime.
Girl Scout Vanessa Bergeron and her mother Missy set up a cookie sales stand outside a Palm Beach, Florida strip mall when the criminal came over in her car.
After asking for a box and her change, she swiped the money from the little girl and sped away.
The criminal is said to be a woman in her 30s driving a Honda (so that should really narrow it down).
Fortunately, a local shopper named Mike Davis heard about the theft and went over to Bergeron’s stand with his wife to give the little girl $100.
“We just thought it was so ridiculous that someone would do something like this to the Girl Scouts. We just felt like it was the right thing to do,” Davis told local news station WPBF.
I have to admit, I was pretty shocked when I saw this story and realized that the person stealing the money was a woman. Perhaps she was striking a blow for the female marginalizing racketeering operation that is the Girl Scouts. Or, perhaps, she’s showing that women are capable of doing equally dumb things as men for an amount of money that would barely cover an extravagant night at TGI Fridays. Either way, if I were a Girl Scout – or an adult wearing a Girl Scout costume for sexual reasons – I’d be extra careful for the next couple of days.
