Woman uses “World of Warcraft” to seduce a teenager

When you or I think of a way to meet a new person for potential love-making, “World of Warcraft” may not be the first thing that comes to mind. So in that respect, you should respect 35-year-old Angie Jenkins for allegedly thinking outside the box to lure in a 15-year-old young man.

world of warcraft Woman uses World of Warcraft to seduce a teenager Police say that Michigan’s Jenkins is the first woman to be charged in Western New York with the crime of using the Internet to seduce an underage person into sexual activity.

Officials allege that Jenkins traveled to Amherst to meet a 16-year-old from the Buffalo area and then had sex with him in the back of a car parked in a department store’s parking lot.

Both the victim and Jenkins lied about their age during their meeting on “World of Warcraft”; Jenkins told him that she was 21 while the victim told her that he was 20.

In a later conversation, the victim told Jenkins that he was actually 15 years old, but Jenkins allegedly told him, “it did not matter how old he was.”

Jenkins is currently being prosecuted on a felony charge.

It’s obviously not okay to go around and try to have sex with people who are underage, regardless of how sexy mature they may seem. At the same time, the usual claim that women being prosecuted for sex crimes make that “he’s so mature for his age and totally gets me” doesn’t seem applicable here. It’s hard to act like this kid is the emotional equivalent of George Clooney when he’s running around online for 14 hours each day pretending to be an ogre with a shiny magical sword. Lots of XP is not the same thing as being tested annually for prostate cancer.
