Worst April Fool’s prank ever involves a teen girl pretending to be robbed and shot
What did your April Fool’s prank consist of? A Whoopie Cushion? Spring-loaded can of snakes? Well you’ve got nothing on this 16-year-old girl pulling the “hilarious” April Fool’s prank of texting her friend and cousin that she had been robbed and shot in the foot.
Police say that the unidentified teenage girl’s friend and cousin both told 911 of the situation when she hadn’t shown up for school on Friday.
When officers arrived at the teenager’s house in central Illinois, they found her safe and unharmed.
Though the cousin and friend were not cited or charged for the false 911 call, the teenage girl was received a $100 ticket for disorderly conduct along with a $50 ticket for not showing up to school.
The officers opted not to charge the teen with filing a false police report.
While I can’t support things like pretending to be shot and robbed, cutting school, or fining teenage girls for stupid jokes, I should say that I respect this little chick. Not only did she pull an April Fool’s prank that was more mean-spirited than funny, she also found a great excuse to take a day off school. Sure, it backfired, but she’s got that naiveté and bad decision-making entrepreneurial spirit that I so admire in a teenage girl.
