You stay classy, Billy Mays’ son

Want to win some crap in a contest AND have some fun with a dead guy (without all that messy embalming fluid)? Well have we found the contest for you. Billy Mays’s son, Billy Mays III, is offering up some old Billy Mays products, a Pitchmen Season 1 DVD, and some stickers (contain yourselves) for the best Billy Mays costume this Halloween!

Halloween is approaching rapidly and it goes without saying that “deceased celebrities” (and balloon boy) will most likely be a huge theme at every gathering.

There will no doubt be a multitude of people dressed as Billy Mays (or zombie Billy Mays).. it is one of the easiest costumes of all time to put together. (Beard, blue button-down, khakis, prop product, etc..)

So, I’ve decided to hold a little contest for best costume.

To Enter:

1. Simply send a photo of your costume to wheresbillymays@gmail.com along with your contact info (email and/or twitter will do)
2. Be tasteful. (Zombies ARE permitted)
3. Project your voice.
4. Have fun.

Deadline for entry is Wednesday, November 4.

An experienced panel of judges (the Sullivan Productions crew and myself) will select 3 winners.

I’ll tell you one thing that ideally shouldn’t be uttered after your dad dies…the phrase “Be Tasteful. (Zombies ARE permitted).” That’s the equivalent of going to the sex offenders’ cell block in jail and going, “Now you be careful not to do any sex offending. (Here’s a woman with weak motor skills and an inability to say no. You may recognize her from her hit MTV reality show, A Shot at Love).”

But hey, it’s his dad’s likeness, so I guess who are we to judge, especially when you consider that people would have done it anyway, so it takes a decent sense of humor to solicit this openly. I wouldn’t do this to Billy Mays though…he seemed like a perfectly fine guy, quite likable. My tribute to him will continue in the form of my crippling addiction to sniffing OxyClean, rubbing it all over my body and, while stoned off my gourd, pretending to be Captain Planet.
