2011 Guyism Gift Guide – Jennifer Goldszer – Schott NYC

The first of our featured wish-lists is from the lovely Jennifer Goldszer. While I only have amazing things to say about her, I’ll let her say it herself. Check out a little more about her below and her three picks — as she says, “For a guy by a girl, or for a girl by a guy”!
Jennifer Goldszer originally hails from Boston, Massachusetts and has been a resident of Manhattan for over 5 years. She is currently the Director of Public Relations for American outerwear designer, Schott NYC. She enjoys sailing, crafting, hosting summer barbecues and vintage shopping.
1. Chester Officer’s Coat from Perfecto Brand by Schott NYC – $525
Over the weekend I saw this jacket with new eyes. An exceedingly chic fashion editor bought it for herself at the Pop Up Flea and I immediately wanted one of my own. Many of my friends and colleagues have desired this piece, a few have it! I dare you to find a better made pea coat with as much history for $525. Schott NYC made the melton wool pea coats for the US Navy during WWII and still uses the same machines and materials today. This officer’s dress coat has horn anchor buttons and cotton lining, which is a little lighter than the iconic quilted style. The longer length is good for me when I go out in the winter in my dresses and skirts and good for him over suits. This jacket is union made in the USA and a classic style that I can wear forever.
2. Antique Heriz Rug (Similar styles available from Heirloom) – Approximately $500-$700
I have trouble committing to color in my home so everything is shades of white in varying textures. I need a pop of color and some warmth this winter and there is no better way to keep it classic than with a hand woven antique rug. The Heriz pattern can translate well in many design styles, so it will inevitably work in the Greenwich Village townhouse of my dreams.
3. The Rat Pack – Master Edition Book – $650
My favorite music from my favorite men. This collection of stunning photography makes me wish I was born 40 years earlier. The intimate photos and stories of Dean, Sammy, Marilyn, Ava, JFK and of course, The Chairman of the Board, showcase true Hollywood Glamour.
