Ad agency creates high tech beer vending machine

I’ve long been jealous of the alcoholism drinking that goes on at the offices of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce, but now I have a new workplace to envy.

Arnie Vending Machine 260x214 Ad agency creates high tech beer vending machine

Arnold, Boston has long had an agency bar (dubbed Barnold), used for weekly happy hours, and now it’s found a way to dispense suds 24-hours a day. Voila! A small team of staffers came up with a souped-up beer vending machine, nicknamed Arnie, that dispenses six different styles of beer, all crafted by the agency. Among them is an eponymous brew, the “Arnold Pilsner.”

The fact that Arnie identifies each user, talks to them, and tweets is all just icing on the cake. It may be important to an ad agency, but I’m more interested in the beer. The fact that they brew their own is impressive enough, but to create an automated vending machine for it is just down right awesome. Rest assured I will be putting a request in with the Guyism suits to have one of these installed in my office. BillyBrew did a Q&A with the brewer if you’re interested in reading about that process. You can also follow Arnie’s tweets if you’d like, though I can’t think of a reason why you’d want to, especially because he seems like a whiny bitch.
