4.2% alcohol isn’t cool. You know what is cool? 6% alcohol. At least that’s what Justin Timberlake wants you to think now that he’s the Creative Director of Bud Light Platinum.

“Bud Light Platinum brings a refined, discerning aesthetic to beer that plays well with what I’m doing,” said Timberlake. “I’m looking forward to not only being a part of the creative process, but in bringing other talented musicians to the forefront as well.”

To be honest, I can picture Timberlake drinking BLP. Who knows if he actually does or if he’s just capitalizing on an excellent opportunity, but I can certainly imagine him with a blue beer bottle in his hand. This seems like a strange time for Sexy Back to be getting a new job though. You’d think he would be lining up a tour to promote his new album. Then again, what do I know about being good at my job. I’m just a schmuck sitting at a computer while he has two multi-platinum albums. OH! I get it now! Platinum! I’m so dumb.

“Justin Timberlake is one of the greatest creative minds in the entertainment industry, and his insights will help us further define Bud Light Platinum’s identity in the lifestyle space,” said Paul Chibe, vice president of U.S. marketing, Anheuser-Busch. “Since launching Bud Light Platinum last year, we’ve worked to align the brand closely with music, including leveraging tracks by Kanye West and Avicii in our first ads. Partnering with Justin as he makes his return to music brings a new level of relevance and credibility to the brand.”

If you’re desperate to see where this is going, JT stars in a 60-second commercial featuring “Turtleneck & Chain” “Suit & Tie” for Bud Light Platinum that is airing during the Grammys this Saturday. If you’re not in a hurry, I’m sure it will air 1,000,000 times.
