Man makes bed out of 318 Heineken bottles
Most guys have had some sort of a bottle collection. Whether it was the full line of Absolut filled with matching highlighters or a giant beeramid made from last night’s Keystone Lights, guys feel the need to keep their empties as trophies. Unlike you though, this guy turned that collection into a $3000 bed.
This unique bed has been a labour of love for its creator for 2 years and is quite simply a work of art!
Following endless late nights contemplating its design and build and countless hours collecting and cleaning bottles, the final product represents tireless dedication to perfection and creativity.
The ‘Heineken day bed’ features threaded rods and a solid wood frame supporting 212 Heineken bottles and 106 half bottles – illuminated by a florescent light housed in the base.
Bid now to secure this true piece of art worthy of display – whether it be in your home, man cave, bar or for business promotion.
That’s much more impressive than the beer caps I nailed into my frat house door to make a beer pong table or the 130 different liquor bottles that donned the shelves of my apartment senior year. As an adult, I don’t think I’d be willing to put this bed in my house, but that doesn’t mean I can’t swoon.
The auction was viewed by 70,000+ people and even caught the eye of Heineken. As a reward for his creativity and craftsmanship, Heineken opted to send him a beer for each one of the bottles he used in the bed. If you want to turn this into a sweet story too, I could also tell you that the money he made selling it will be used on his upcoming wedding. Aww….
