Norte’s Photoblocker beer cooler will protect your nightlife

Colin Joliat Staff Writer

None of my jobs frowns upon weekend debauchery, so I don’t have to worry about the constantly detagging pictures on Facebook. In fact, I’m sure the powers that be at Guyism would be happy to have me share some of my more ridiculous moments with you. Unfortunately, that isn’t the case for many. A few inappropriately timed pictures can spell disaster. Notre Beer is here to help though with their new invention, the “Norte Photoblocker.”

The world of clubbing has become a dangerous one, as the ubiquity of camera phones and social networks means your partying indiscretions could be caught and displayed for the world to see. Stop the publishing of your philandering or drunken ways with “Photoblocker,” an intelligent beer cooler from Norte and Del Campo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi which can detect camera flashes, and respond with a flash of its own that destroys the photo. The beer coolers were distributed throughout bars in Northern Argentina.

The obvious downsides are that you don’t live in Argentina, and it appears to only hold one beer. Also, if a girl happens to steal the cooler and bring it home with her, it’s going to ruin that bootleg sex tape you were trying to film from the closet. There’s nothing worse than putting on your best performance only to have it turned to a bright white blur.

This isn’t the ad agency’s first foray into helping club goers. You may recall an invention for Andes beer called the Teletransporter, which was a soundproof booth that created ambient noise to help you better lie to your girlfriend.
