Redhook joins a long list of craft breweries canning beer
Chalk up another win for the canned beer industry. Redhook, one of America’s first craft breweries, has finally cave and abandoned their bottle and keg only stance. They are now offering Long Hammer IPA in cans.
While some breweries tout the ease of recycling, cost savings, or shipping benefits, Redhook Brewery has made the switch for the drinkers. It’s summer, so any self-respecting person outside of Arizona should be spending as much time outside as possible. Unfortunately bottles aren’t idea for beaches or bike rides. That’s where cans come in to play. They’re easy to pack, won’t break, and can be recycled on the top of your head.
With this move, Redhook joins 184 other craft breweries who are currently offering at least one option in a can. To find out who else is cranking out beach beers, check out CraftCans.com.
