I apologize for posting a shit so and so says again, but “Sh*t People Say to Bartenders” may actually be helpful. If you say any of these things, just accept that the bartender is going to hate you for the rest of the night.

To be clear, there’s nothing wrong with asking for a bartender’s suggestion. Of course that only applies if the bar isn’t busy. I wrote a overtly satirical article last year about how to get drinks faster, so if you still need advice on what not to do, you might consider reading that.
