Tito wants you to get drunk and blog

Do you enjoy music festivals? How about vodka? Are you seeking a way to make yourself feel more important than you actually are? Well, boy do I have an opportunity for you!

Titos Rocks 135x95 Tito wants you to get drunk and blogTito’s Vodka is searching for a music festival blogger for 2012, and if you play your cards right, you could be that person. If you’ve never had Tito’s, but the name sounds familiar to you, it’s probably because it was the vodka featured in the Grilled-Cheese Martini. They are currently giving away “the rock and roll trip of a lifetime.” I suppose “giving” away isn’t the proper way to describe it since you would be put to work writing and recording blogs, but the deal is amazing enough to over look that minor detail.

In exchange for blogging, Tito’s is offering the winner a trip for two to SXSW, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, and CMJ Music Marathon plus two custom branded Epiphone Les Paul Special II guitars. The trips include airfare and hotels, as well as $600 (total, I believe). No word on if you have access to unlimited vodka, but that would really put me over the edge. The only restrictions are that you must be at least 25 years old and live anywhere in the United States other than California. Sorry Sunshine, you can’t enter.

Now for the downside. This isn’t one of Guyism’s awesome contests where all you have to do is comment at the right time or be chosen at random. We love our readers far too much to make you do work. Tito’s contest, on the other hand, is more like applying to college all over again, only it’s some strange hipster college. You must submit an essay, head shot, artistic photo, and a video. That seems like a lot of effort, but it’s probably worth it for a prize potentially worth $12,500. You can register here, but not too many of you. I was tempted to keep this to myself to improve my odds of winning.
